Set in the heart of the world's financial arena, marketers will discover the history and character of familiar and not so familiar but very influential financial sites and aspects of the City of London during a guided tour lead by experts. After a fill of fascinating facts and curiosities, the walk will finish with superb food and drink with ample opportunity to network with fellow marketers in one of the city of London's oldest and most interesting venues.
London Walks have created a special guided tour for our financial services marketers and will give us fascinating facts and figures, along with the history of our financial landscape. We will explore the very heart of the City - the most historic part of the capital. Threading our way through an intricate network of narrow alleys and cobble-stone lanes, the professional guide(s) will chronicle the London's rich and tumultuous history within the financial arena, and illustrate it with stories from our founders of our financial markets to the ups and downs of fortune and fame, including as we walk, the many of London's great buildings and landmarks, among which include the Bank of England and the Stock Exchange.
Enjoy one of the warmest summer evenings for this year with a wonderful opportunity to network with other marketers within the Finance Industry. The walk meets at the Bank of England and ends at one of London's oldest venues for a light buffet, and is about two hours long. The guides are all professionally trained and distinguished Blue Badge and City of London Guides. They know their stuff. Members will be encouraged to ask questions during the tour. The guides will be staying on after the tour for further drilling during the buffet and networking.
The cost includes the guided tour around the financial arena of the City of London, light buffet and beverages (including fine ales/lager and wine) afterwards. Places are restricted per professional guide so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Registration is from 18:00, the tour begins at 18:15 and is expected to finish at 21:00.
