About this Canon
We have to learn that Innovation is much too important to leave it just to 'creative' departments. Indeed, it is precisely Marketers who have the Duty of Initiative on Innovation - Marketers should be closest to understand real consumer needs and desires. They should also protect their companies from innovations without perceived consumer benefits, because these are, on the whole, damned to failure.
This presentation addresses the key questions: why innovate, what is innovation, and where does innovation come from? It then goes on to look at: innovation management, inspiring innovators, software for innovation, practical innovation knowledge and what to know about creativity.
