Exemptions Updated
The CIM policy on exemptions has recently been updated. Please note that no single module exemptions are available.
Entry Points Policy
A number of universities have an entry point agreement with the CIM allowing graduates of certain degrees to gain automatic entry to either the Professional Diploma in Marketing or the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Dual Awards
Universities can apply to CIM for accreditation of prior learning (APL) for their degree programmes that major in marketing. This is a credit based process for assessing and recognising prior learning that enables students to earn credits that can be offset against CIM qualifications.
The dual awards scheme allows students of participating universities to claim APL against two of the four modules that comprise the CIM’s Professional Certificate in Marketing or the Professional Diploma in Marketing. Students on dual award degree programmes will be offered a genuine competitive advantage in their career in the form of a good degree plus a CIM qualification and membership opportunities.
Self Study Students
Self Study students only should contact qualifications@cim.co.uk for information about exemptions at Postgraduate Diploma level. When you apply for CIM membership, you will need to attach a copy of your CV and copies of your qualifications to your CIM Qualifications Application form.
