    6:00 PM - London

This is the first event in our new Professional Marketer Series of eight events that will be run over the next nine months designed to enhance both the technical skills and management capabilities of marketers aspiring to reach the highest level of our profession.

The focus for this event will be brand culture and responsibility. We’ll discuss why brand culture is important and highlight why marketers need to play their part in ‘living’ and promoting an open and honest culture throughout their organisation and marketing activity.

    Speakers

Anthony ‘Tas’ Tasgal will talk about how to develop shared values and practices built on behavioural economics and storytelling, why this means less messaging and more massaging and why storytelling can help create a happier and more productive company culture.

Tas started life as an ad agency planner before setting up POV, a strategic brand, communications and training consultancy, some 15 years ago. He still works with several travel and retail brands, such as Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and Specsavers. A course director for the CIM, Tas specialises in persuasive storytelling, ‘insightment’ and applying new thinking from behavioural economics to understanding consumer behaviour and decision-making in relation to marketing and communications. Tas is the author of The Storytelling Book, runner up in the M&SB Marketing Book of the Year 2016.

Henry Stewart will facilitate a discussion on why marketers should not only accept responsibility for delivering the brand promise but also celebrate mistakes, because that is often the best way to learn and discover new ways of doing things.

Henry Stewart is founder and Chief Executive of Happy Ltd. Happy was rated one of the top 20 workplaces in the UK for 5 successive years and now helps other organisations create happy workplaces. In 2011 Henry was listed in the Guru Radar of the Thinkers 50 list of the most influential business thinkers in the world. Henry is the author of The Happy Manifesto.

You will also have an opportunity to meet and network with other professional marketers. Food and refreshments are included in the price.
