    6:00 PM - Birmingham

Strategy is often idealised as a rational, planned, linear and considered process, when in reality it is often messy, subjective, political and emergent.

Dr Gary Burke and Dr Carola Wolf will present insights from their research about how strategy is done in practice and how practitioners navigate through the difficulties and complexities of strategy work.

The second part of the evening will be a plenary discussion and the start of a conversation / research theme around, “How marketing works in practice”, applying some of the speakers research insights from strategy to a marketing environment.
