    Paul Wilkinson, Head of Global Marketing at well known North East lifestyle brand, Barbour, will give an insight into the company's global marketing strategy and the challenges they face as a global manufacturer of a fashion brand.

    The Barbour story began in 1894 at South Shields market and today, the fifth generation family owned business remains in the North East. Barbour has ten retail units in the UK and a presence in over 40 countries worldwide. Most famous for its wax jackets, they have gone on to develop men’s, ladies and children’s clothing ranges creating a lifestyle brand.

    Paul graduated from Northumbria University with a first class degree in Sport Management and has worked in a variety of marketing roles since for O'Neill and Protest Sportswear before joining Barbour in 2013. He will discuss how they develop their below the line and above the line marketing strategies to cater for audiences across the globe.
