Join us on 19 July 2012 for our increasingly popular fifth annual guided tour around the famous and infamous financial landmarks of the City of London. Set in the heart of the world's financial arena, marketers and their guests will discover the history and character of familiar and not so familiar but very influential financial aspects of the City of London during a guided tour led by an expert guide. After a fill of fascinating facts and curiosities, the walk will finish with superb food and drink, with ample opportunity to network with fellow marketers in one of the City of London's unique historic and finance related venues.

Following on from previous year's success, London Walks have specially designed yet another guided tour to provide us with fascinating facts and the history of our financial landscape. We will explore a new side of the City - set in the very heart of the world's foremost financial capital. Threading our way through an intricate network of narrow alleys and cobble-stone lanes, our professional guide will chronicle more of London's rich and tumultuous financial history, illustrating it with stories from the founders of our financial markets to the ups and downs of fortune and fame, including as we walk, the many of London's past 'financial buildings'. We will set off at one of the world's most notable financial landmarks and from here the guide won't fail to entertain you with his superb style as well as delight you with his collection of historical and finance related facts.

Enjoy a summer evening and a wonderful opportunity to network with others from the Finance Industry. The walk meets at the Bank of England and ends at one of London's unique venues for a light buffet, and is about two hours long. The guide, Tom Hooper (MBE) is a blue badge guide examiner, a former barrister and Chair of the Guild of Guides. He has a lawyer's ready wit and a noted ability to enchant. He knows his stuff! Members will be encouraged to ask questions during the tour.

This event is perfect to entertain colleagues, clients and guests. Many attendees have poached Tom via London Walks for their in house finance related entertainment following past walks.

The cost includes the guided tour around the financial area of the City of London, light buffet and beverages (including fine ales/lager and wine) afterwards. Places are restricted so please book early to avoid disappointment.
