Our activities

Recent newsletters have covered our interests for food and drink marketers including items on organic food, the GM debate, agricultural food sector development in China and how foreign based suppliers see the UK food market. We have also looked at how the UK agricultural food sector might look like in 5 – 10 years time, the future of the soft drinks sector in the UK, opportunities in vending in the UK and specialty food marketing both in the UK and internationally.

One of the new activities of the FDA in the last 18 months or so has been the development of a programme of academic liaison with a number of key partners around the UK. All of these have a strong reputation for work in the area of agricultural, food and drink marketing. These include:

  • The University of Reading
  • Harper Adams University
  • Newcastle University
  • Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester
  • The University of Kent
  • Myerscough College, Preston

This programme of academic liaison involves a number of activities such as the award made each year to the outstanding student studying in agricultural, food and drink marketing.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at one of our events soon!
