Excellence in public sector delivery is celebrated in this category. Local and Central government, and ALBs are encouraged to enter either individually or in collaboration with an agency who supported their work.

Focused on celebrating achievements in the non-for-profit sector. This category includes charity, community and voluntary organisations including social firms.

This includes: Construction, Engineering, Automotive, Transport, Other Manufacturing industries. Business-to-business and business-to-consumer entries are encouraged under this category.

This includes Hotels, Leisure, Events, Travel and Tourism.  If your focus is on cultural events or you provide conference and beds, we welcome celebrating the variety and growth of this sector, and Ireland’s growing tourism offering via this category.

Professional Services is a growing sector in marketing. This category includes Education and Training, Private Healthcare, Finance and Banking, Accountancy, Law, Construction-related Professions.

If you are involved in any sector focusing on fast moving consumer goods you are welcome to enter here. This includes retail (online trading or shop only retail, or both). The key is excellence and seamless consumer delivery.

In the NI Year of Good Food and Drink, we want to hear from companies of all sizes who have marketed successfully their produce locally or internationally. Shops, producers, wholesale or artisan suppliers are all welcome to enter this award.

This category includes both software and hardware product marketing. Business to Business, and business to consumers entries are very welcome. This is an opportunity for marketers working in the highly competitive and innovative technology sector to demonstrate how they have overcome obstacles and found a path in a crowded marketing to their customer.

The creative industries involve a wide range of disciplines. This includes advertising, arts, antiques, crafts, design, designer fashion, film, interactive leisure software (eg games), music, performing arts, publishing, TV and radio. We want entries which demonstrate the diversity of this sector and its ability to market effectively.

Ireland has a growing reputation for developing effective marketing in life sciences. This includes human, veterinary and agriculture. We want to celebrate marketers who make the complex relevant and translate new science into sales leads for their employers.

This category is open to all sectors, and simply highlights teams which have demonstrated excellence. Whether it’s in outcomes, matching internal or external markets or overcoming obstacles we wish to hear from  those whose teams have excelled.

This category is all about recognising the impact one individual can have on an organisation. If you have noticed an independent marketer go beyond the parameters of their role or dedicated an unsurpassable level of commitment yourself – we’re seeking entries from (and nominations for) marketers whose creativity, originality and inspiring work ethic make a remarkable personal contribution.

Open across all sectors we want to hear from businesses who have gone above and beyond local markets and have demonstrated an ability to cross borders and cultures. Business to business and consumer entries are welcome, as our product and service entries.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning this prestigious award, you’ll simply need to enter one of the categories above. Our Chair will choose one finalist whose execution and distinctive approach places them a cut above the rest.

We were delighted to win the CIM Marketing Excellence Award in 2015 for Professional Services for a second year running and to come runner up in the Public Sector Category. These awards provide recognition for the high professional marketing standards that the Employability and Marketing Team deliver for Ulster University. Our project was a fully integrated campaign involving detailed market research on pricing and included an integrated marketing campaign which delivered a significant return on investment for the University. A CIM award provides the recognition for all the hard work and at times, sweat and tears, to ensure that marketing is delivering against the University's business objectives.
