Ben is a seasoned marketer with 20 years’ experience in growing brands.  Ben started his career in brand communications developing advertising campaigns for brands such as MORE TH>N, JPMorgan, Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson, at a number of leading advertising agencies.  After a decade of agency life Ben moved to MasterCard as Head of Brand & Sponsorship Marketing, where for 5 years he ran the world famous Priceless advertising campaign.  In 2010 Ben joined Royal Mail to help turn the business around from a loss making public service, into a growing, commercially focussed Plc.  Currently Ben is responsible for Customer Marketing at Royal Mail covering all customer research, data analytics, CRM, marketing communications activity, brand strategy, activation and brand management.

Mark Brayton 

Director of Interactive Marketing, Barclays Bank PLC.

Mark is a multi-skilled marketing professional with over 14 years of experience within the UK financial services market.  He’s a Business Studies graduate from Loughborough University with a real passion for consumer insight, innovation-led marketing communications and brand-led customer engagement. 

Mark is currently responsible for all Interactive Content Marketing within the Personal & Corporate Banking (PCB) business at Barclays.  His role covers: content strategy (cross-channel); brand engagement (via a network of 500+ internal brand advocates); branch marketing (across Barclays multiple retail locations); sponsorship activation (of Barclays global properties); social media (across multiple UK platforms & presences) & Performance Marketing (direct to customer).  Mark sits on PCB Marketing Executive Committee, reporting into the MD of Marketing at Barclays.

Mark's previous leadership roles, all within marketing, have included: PR, Insight, Product Marketing, CRM, Advertising & Brand Management.

Mark hails from the Lake District but has now set up home in London.  As well as spending time with his wife and his 2 young sons, Mark's other key passion-points are all sport related - be it playing, coaching or simply spectating!

Misa von Tunzelman

Lead Director of UK Marketing and Communications, JLL

Misa von Tunzelman is Lead Director for Marketing and Communications at Real Estate Professional Services firm JLL.  She is a member of the UK firm's Executive Committee and leads the business' progressive Diversity and Inclusion agenda, a focus she sees as vital to the health of any brand operating today.

Misa is passionate about property and the difference the built environment can make on the prosperity of businesses, communities and whole countries; a message that she and her colleagues at JLL are on a mission to get out to UK plc.

Having seen first-hand the difference a strong Marketing approach can have on the fortunes of professional services firms, Misa enjoys seeing new ideas and thinking brought to life in this sometimes staid sector.  She is a keen supporter of the CIM having been a member since 1997 and chartered since 2009.

Louise Fowler

Marketing Director, First Direct (assignment) 

With over 25 years’ experience leading and running large service businesses at home and overseas, Louise is an established and credible business leader with many stories to tell. 

A trained brand marketer by background, Louise is passionate about putting customers at the heart of service organisations and has championed this in many well-known service brands.

Louise started her career at British Airways where she led the introduction of the first flat beds on a commercial airliner alongside a suite of other innovations including the world’s first arrivals lounge, pre-flight dining, seat-back entertainment and the Executive Club.

Based in Johannesburg, she led BA’s business in Africa and returned to the UK as managing director for Brymon Airways, a £200m airline based in Bristol, where she led a merger to create British Airways CitiExpress.

As Marketing Director for Barclays Business Bank, Louise demonstrated the principles of putting customers first apply across sector.  As Chief Marketing Officer at Britannia Building Society she led their merger with the Bristol and West and, through a second merger became Group Marketing Director of The Co-operative Financial Services.   

Louise now advises diverse clients from financial services, energy, utilities travel and hospitality, as well as arts and not-for-profit organisations on customer centricity, marketing and brand.  She is currently working on assignment transforming the marketing function at first direct, the UKs most recommended bank.
