Wales Marketing Awards 2016

CIM’s prestigious Wales Marketing Awards (previously known as Canmol) rewards excellence and celebrates achievements of marketing professionals in Wales giving individuals, teams and organisations the recognition they deserve.

These awards are a fantastic acknowledgement of the creativity and originality delivered by marketers who are at the forefront of their profession and recognises the success of all those involved.

We are delighted to reveal our brand new entry categories for 2016. Four of the categories’ winners will go through to CIM’s prestigious Marketing Excellence Awards 2017 which is an opportunity to gain elevated recognition for excellence in your marketing.

This award recognises the best use of digital to achieve a business objective. Whether innovative, creative, programmatic or immersive, demonstrate how your digital channels or technology have delivered marketing excellence and a strong return on investment.

This award recognises campaigns that deliver excellence through a range of responsive media. There must be clear objectives and rationale behind the media strategy with creative and strategic synergies across all activity, resulting in demonstrable value added by each channel.

This award recognises national or local campaigns that use striking creativity and strategic planning to reach and engage target audiences. Channels might include outdoor, TV, radio, online or press with evidence of how results delivered against objectives.

This award recognises excellence in the field of PR and related communications. It covers all aspects of the discipline, from brand building events through to the effective management of an issue or crisis. Demonstrate how you used creative and innovative strategies to achieve desired business outcomes.

This award recognises brilliant creative solutions to marketing challenges. With a focus on creative innovation that is evident from idea to execution, the campaign’s concept must be truly inspirational to the target audience.

This award recognises the outstanding creation and use of content to drive engagement and achieve set objectives. Show how your strategy delivered content across relevant platforms to reach your target audience and deliver compelling results.

This award recognises best in class use of data and analytics to improve a product or customer experience. Through expert implementation of segmentation, targeting, visualization or metrics, demonstrate how intelligent strategies have resulted in business success and delivered a competitive advantage.

This award recognises innovative and creative marketing across charity, governmental or not-for-profit organisations. Show how your work raised awareness, affinity, involvement or funds for your organisation through any measurable channel.

This award recognises the stellar impact one individual has had on an organisation. Whether a colleague has gone beyond the parameters of their role or you’ve dedicated an unsurpassable level of commitment yourself, show how creativity, originality and an inspiring work ethic provided a remarkable personal contribution.

This category will go through to the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.

This award recognises the marketing team that has been instrumental to the success of their organisation. Reinforced by measurable results, demonstrate how your team’s collaborative and strategic approach to marketing has helped transform the performance of your business.

This category will go through to the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.

This award recognises the best individual campaign that delivered a stunning impact on the target audience and competition. Whatever your campaign aimed to achieve, share the work you’re most proud of and detail the challenges you faced, the insights and creative you developed along with the brilliant results you achieved. 

This category will go through to the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.

This award recognises the agency that has had an unrivalled year. Showcase your successes across strategy, insight and creative, proving how you have delivered marketing excellence for your clients, outshone your competitors and set new standards for the future.

This category will go through to the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.

How to enter

Entries should relate to work commenced and completed 1 August 2015 – 1 August 2016.

Entry fees are £40 per entry and may be paid by credit card or invoice. If your submission(s) have not been paid for at close of entry they may not be included for judging.

You are eligible to enter more than one category, however a separate online entry submission and payment must be completed for each category and each project.

Agencies submitting entries on behalf of/in partnership with clients should have secured the client’s/partners permission prior to submitting an entry.

Please note that the deadline for entries has been extended to midnight 3 October 2016.

Those entrants shortlisted will be asked to attend a short video filming session at a Cardiff location and will be given a choice of two dates at the end of October and first week of November. Full details will be sent to successful entrants week commencing 17 October 2016 when the shortlist will be announced.
