Applying to study
Firstly you will need to decide how you want to study. CIM and CAM qualifications can be taken in a variety of ways so that you can find a study option that fits in with your other commitments:
Study centre part time courses
Study centre full time courses
E-learning
Distance Learning
1. Contact your local CIM study centres to discuss your chosen qualification and tuition. Your study centre will confirm your level of entry. View the CIM Entry points policy
2. Register with a Study Centre and pay the centre fees. Each study centre will be able to provide you with details of its registration process and fees independently from CIM
3. Complete the CIM application process. This registers you as an Affiliate Member of the institute, giving you a range of benefits, resources and support whilst studying with us. Download the CIM Application Form.
4. Set up your personal online account to enable you to access many of your CIM benefits and resources. To register, you will need to have your CIM membership number and authorisation key (provided on your membership confirmation letter/email) to hand
5. Register for your assessments. Registering with your study centre and with CIM does not automatcially register you to sit for your assessments. Once you have decieded in which modules you would like to be assessed and when you would like to take them, you can register in one of two ways:
Enter assessments online
Complete an assessment entry form and return it to CIM by post
6. Buy your text books through CIM Direct, the bookshop arm of CIM. Order online or call +44 (0)1628 427427 to make your purchases.
