Marketing Excellence Awards - finalists announced

20 November 2009 – Following ten days of intense deliberation by the judges The Chartered Institute of Marketing, the world’s leading professional body for marketers, is pleased to announce this year’s finalists across 18 categories for its first national Marketing Excellence Awards.

The winners outstanding achievements will be announced at a prestigious awards dinner at London’s newly built Grange St Paul’s Hotel on 17 February 2010. (Seats can be booked either online by visiting the awards section, see related links, or via telephone: 01223 538060).

David Thorp, director of research and professional development at The Chartered Institute of Marketing said;

The Marketing Excellence Awards have been especially created to highlight the fundamental role marketing plays, throughout both business and the public sector, and to celebrate the best marketing achievements across many industry sectors. It recognises outstanding marketing from UK organisations, both large and small, and from individuals through two additional awards ; Marketing newcomer and Marketer of the year.

The entrants demonstrated the innovation and creativity needed to demonstrate good marketing practice and innovation, even during the current financial downturn. The diversity and creativity of the entries resulted in much deliberation by the judging teams to judge and mark the final and worthy short list.
