Chartered Institute of Marketing announces Marketing Excellence Awards 2011 Shortlist

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) today announced the shortlist for the Marketing Excellence Awards 2011, sponsored by Sage. These prestigious awards, now in their third successful year, recognise the role of marketing in both business and the public sector.

Over 170 entries have been shortlisted in the 15 industry categories, while 18 finalists are also set to battle it out in the two individual categories, Marketer of the year – sponsored by Neolane UK, and Marketing Team of the year, celebrating superb individual and team contributions. The finalists were selected by industry professionals and all the shortlist announced today were selected from an outstanding number and range of organisations.

Jon Fisher, director of events at The Chartered Institute of Marketing said;

The level of entry this year has been unprecedented and the judges were impressed with the exceptional creativity, resourcefulness and sophistication of the work submitted, particularly in the tough economic climate. Our awards are the benchmark for excellence and this year's finalists have raised the bar. It is fantastic to be able to reward their brilliant performance and we'd like to offer our thanks to all the entrants as well as our congratulations to the shortlist.

The winners will be announced officially at a sumptuous Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 23 February 2012.
