Overview

The e-marketing award is a qualification that gives you solid skills and knowledge to truly take advantage of the digital medium for your business and use it as a competitive differentiator. The aim of this qualification is to provide you with a sound understanding of e-Marketing, which will help to build confidence and provide you with a structure in which to explore the exciting array of opportunities presented by online channels.

Who is it for?

Anyone working or planning to work in the digital channel; or if digital plays some part in your job role (UK and Western Europe only).

What will you learn?

By the end of this qualification should be able to:

  • Understand the elements of e-marketing and how you can maximise them to your advantage
  • Develop e-marketing plans and integrate them into your overall strategy
  • Use the online channel to research customers and markets
  • Target customers and create business opportunities

Qualification content

This qualification covers all the aspects of the e-Marketing mix which the objectives are to:

  • Understand how e-Marketing fulfils the basic principles of marketing
  • Recognise the evolutionary stages of e-Marketing and the resource implications
  • Embrace change and the necessity to explore the cyber world
  • Appreciate the range of e-tools as well as their advantages and disadvantages
  • Develop an awareness of the digital impact on each element of the marketing mix
  • Grasp the e-issues affecting customers, intermediaries and marketers
  • Become familiar with the e-Marketing vocabulary

Do you qualify?

There is no official entry criteria for this award, although our suggested minimum entry requirement is the same as for the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.

If English isn't your first language, you will also need to provide us with evidence of at least IELTS 6.5 proficiency or Trinity ISE III/IV.

How will you be assessed?

You will take an online examination and a work-based assignment.

The Qualification is available in all modes of study, however, you need to check with individual Accredited Study Centre.
