    6:15 PM - London

Soon there will be around 9 billion in the world to feed and this presents the basis of a huge opportunity and challenge for the UK and world agriculture and food sectors.

However there is so much else going on too. Not least the impact of Brexit, other international trade deals around the world, the role of GM crops, ongoing consolidation in the supply chain, the development of agri tech markets, changing routes to market, a changing consumer base in the UK and globally, the impact of climate change, the role of the environment and then the need for food and drink companies to find new markets, new customers and develop new products and services for their customers and consumers.

Allan Wilkinson, Head of agriculture and food, HSBC, will share the bank's views on what is happening in the UK and global supply chain and markets and how banks see the future prospects in the sector and what the implication for the marketing of agricultural, food and drink products are.  Allan is very well known in the sector and has well developed views across a wide range of subjects..
