The CIM Marketing Leadership Programme has been developed to respond to both industry and individual needs within the marketing profession. Extensive global, employer-led research has been undertaken across a range of sectors and organisational sizes, to identify the skills and competencies required to full develop a marketing professional into an advocate for leading change.

It will enable you to become integral in identifying the key influences – both external and internal – that are likely to become future drivers of an organisation. Draw on insight, apply strategic thinking and match them with organisational resources to support and deliver on business goals.

What you will learn

Contemporary Challenges (Mandatory)
How to evaluate the potential impact of emerging contemporary marketing challenges and apply strategic thinking to develop future strategies.

Leading Change (Mandatory)
How you can manage an organisation’s assets to build and sustain a clear market position to guide, support and implement market-led change within an organisation.

Consultancy (Elective)
How to assess the components of a sustainable and clearly defined consultancy proposition. As well as responding to business issues by facilitating changes within a client’s organisation.

Managing Business Growth (Elective)
An understanding of the customer dynamics relevant to the industry sector and be able to evaluate how organisational characteristics influence the market positioning of an organisation’s products or services.

Achieving the qualification

To achieve the CIM Marketing Leadership Programme, a pass in BOTH mandatory modules plus ONE elective module is required. Each module can be achieved as an award.

Do you qualify?

You’ll need to have a minimum of five years working at senior marketing management level to study the CIM Marketing Leadership Programme. A business or marketing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or an equivalent qualification) will also enable entry.

Reasonable adjustments policy

Reasonable adjustments enable a candidate with additional requirements to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding to the levels of attainment required by the relevant CIM qualification specification. CIM ensures its Reasonable Adjustments Policy aligns to regulatory and legal requirements. The Reasonable Adjustments policy is available to learners on the MyCIM Portal once they are registered.

 

What are the costs?

There are three cost elements* to studying this marketing qualification:

1. Once you've selected your preferred Accredited Study Centre, contact them to discuss your tuition fees. Note that costs may vary for each centre.
2. You'll then need to become a CIM Studying Member, for which the annual fee is £65.
3. Finally, you'll need to book your assessments through CIM when studying. The total assessment fee for this qualification is £855 (from April 2020 assessments onwards, the total fee will increase to £870).

*Figures based on successful completion at first attempt. Additional fees will be required if resits are taken.
