    5:30 PM - Glasgow

The Cycling World Championships is the single biggest cycling event ever to take place. With 13 world championships, more than 200 riders, and 11 days of action, it is the first event of its kind…and comes with a big marketing responsibility.

    Speaker: Rob Arbuthnot

Rob is Head of the Marketing Communication Team, and during this special 'in conversation' event, he will reflect on the campaign, the challenges and successes, and share his personal journey to leading such a high-profile event. He will share his back story and how he came to work in his current role, the importance of getting the brand and experiential messaging right for a world event, and how he and his team have managed to navigate an event at significant scale, hosted across a range of locations and multiple partners, to ensure cycling, Scotland and sponsors were well represented.

He is a seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience with specific expertise in event and sports marketing. Throughout his career, which included development through the Red Bull Marketing Programme, Rob has led innovative brand campaigns and activations for some of the world's best-loved brands.
