    This is the final event in our Professional Marketer Series for the current season – however fear not, we will start the whole series again in the Autumn. At this event we will cover monitoring and influencing.

    In our first session we’ll take a look at why a data-led approach to digital strategy and campaign measurement has to be reflected across Technical and content-based SEO, PPC, conversion optimisation, paid social, social and digital PR. This will be followed by a session exploring different strategies and techniques to help you hone your influencing skills and power of persuasion.

    Speakers
    Rob Welsby. As Director of Search and Insight at the award winning strategic marketing agency Further, Rob’s role is to understand client’s business and objectives, then to translate these into an effective search marketing strategy with a focus on delivering real-world, bottom-line results. He is a self-confessed digital marketing addict with a background in technical SEO, PPC and CRO.

    Jenny Burns. Jenny is a passionate and energetic Brand and Communications expert with more than 20 years’ experience. In 2014 she was named PR Week’s Communications Personality of the decade. Jenny was recently appointed as the Director of Brand and Customer Experience at Just Retirement, a newly merged pensions business, where she is in the process of creating a new brand strategy and brand positioning for the group. Jenny is also proud to be the Chair of an international mental health charity, BasicNeeds

    Previously Jenny spent 5 years at RSA Insurance as the Group Communications, Brand and Social Media Director. Jenny started her career at the well-known High Street retailer, WHSmith. She’s also held senior leadership and communications positions at Barclays, Centrica British Gas, HBOS and Telefonica O2. Over the years she’s become a positive disrupter; leading the way in making transformational and innovative changes in well established businesses.

    Both before and after the presentations you will have an opportunity to meet and network with other professional marketers. Food and refreshments are included in the price.

    Professional Marketer series of events: Each of the eight events in the series will feature a session on one of the eight technical skills that form the basis of the CIM’s Professional Marketing Standards:

    The second session at each event will focus on one or more of the Behaviours that marketing professionals need to be able to demonstrate in order to contribute to the achievement of business goals. These are:

    Influencing - collaborative – responsible - financially literate – inspiring – innovative – challenging – entrepreneurial - commercially aware – creative

    Attending all eight or multiple events will help you to build your knowledge, competence and authority as a professional marketer and contribute significantly to your continuing professional development and gaining or maintaining Chartered Marketer status.
