    5:30 PM - Huddersfield

"A clever recipe of theory and practical insight for your online activity, tastily mixed together on a bed of networking” This event, MC'd by local effervescent entrepreneur Paul Simpson, will provide an insight into CIM course content covering best practice for effective online presence, delivered by Richard Turner, an experienced CIM tutor.

It will be complimented by a more practical insight from Chartered Marketer and CIM tutor Rob Watson into how smart online implementation could and maybe should be used by your business, when delivered in an efficient and effective way.

Add an element of good quality networking hosted by Co-Up owner and Chartered Marketer Danny Bulmer in Co-Up's stimulating surroundings and managed by queen of networking Merewyn Sayers representing FSB Kirklees, then you have the recipe for a rewarding event, with time well spent by all.

The event is designed for you whether you run a small or large business, whether you plan and implement social media yourself, or you need to understand how your 'online' team should be thinking and what they should be doing.
The objective is that you will leave with knowledge and ideas that you can use the very next day, if not that evening … you may even be able to try some out to impress contacts you have met during the networking.

Richard Turner is a well-established and respected college lecturer who shares responsibility at Kirklees College for delivering CIM course content. Search for Richard on-line and you will find "Thank You’s" from past and present students who he has mentored and successfully educated in their quest to pass a CIM qualification. Richard's presentation about on-line strategy with be a taster of CIM prescribed course content, which will provide a flavour of what you could learn from studying a CIM course.

Rob Watson is a freelance digital marketing consultant and a tutor on the CIM's Digital Marketing Award. He has held Chartered Marketer status since 2005 and helps SME businesses generate leads and sales through digital marketing. If you run a local business, you can now target customers located close to your business more effectively than ever. The web may be global but many customers need - or prefer - to buy from a local business.

Recent developments in SEO, PPC, Facebook and Twitter - to name but a few - give your local business more options than ever. You can now single out local customers without having to advertise to the world! Rob will explain how.
