    5:00 PM - Lincoln

Sustainable practices are becoming ever more important in today's marketing landscape. And whilst many organisations are striving to add sustainability to their agenda, there is still substantial waste in the food retail supply chain caused by marketing practices.

This event will examine sustainable food retail supply and marketing focussing upon the issue of waste caused by marketing practices. The first session will consist of three short presentations examining the issues by Sheraz Mailk (University of East London), James Truscott (Branston Ltd) and Darren Bevan (JDM Foodgroup).

The second session will be a discussion of the issues raised chaired by Professor Martin Hingley aimed at identifying and examining the differences between practice and academic theory. For those with an interest in the management and reduction of waste in the supply chain or an interest in sustainable marketing, this event is not to be missed.
