It seems everyone’s talking about apps these days, and no wonder. There’s already over 1.5 million downloadable on Apple’s App Store and Google Play alone. There’s a temptation to think you ‘need an app for that’. Do you really? And, if you do, how should you go about designing, developing, delivering and, of course, marketing your new app?   • A brief history of apps through to the present day, including key categories.
  • Determining the need for an app: a quick DIY check-list.
  • The characteristics of great apps.
  • Doing your research.
  • Creating, designing, building and testing your app.
  • Marketing your app using a broad range of marcoms tools and techniques.
  • Additional tools and techniques such as ASO (Application Store Optimisation).
  • Cost: Benefit Analysis: quantifying the financial implications of your app.
  • Measuring the success of your app: key app metrics and analytics
  • Creating an App Marketing Plan.

Delivery style

A mixture of slides, case studies, discussion, exercises, mini-workshops and video, with an emphasis on ‘app’lication (pardon the pun!).

Tony Rowe created our original mobile marketing workshop and has been running it for many years now. As everyone seems to be talking about apps these days, Tony was asked by several fellow marketers and delegates on other marketing workshops to develop an app specific workshop, and so he did.
