Description

The eternal battle between the finance and marketing departments should tonight be finally extinguished, as eminent experts from The Chartered Institute of Marketing and CIMA work out their differences and bring peace and harmony to the ideal business set-up.

Do you understand what makes the suits in finance tick and the open-necked shirts in marketing buzz? Will working closer together make for a profitable future and peaceful co-existence or should there be a healthy friction?

At this event you will learn how to:

1. Measure and build a compelling rationale for marketing investment whilst instilling trust and confidence in financial decision-makers.

2. Understand how to improve dialogue and develop your capacity to influence and persuade the suits in finance.

3. Add more value to your business - through true collaboration between marketing and finance.

At this exciting joint event, co-hosted by The Institutes' Sussex Branch and CIMA, you'll hear views and insight from experts in both marketing and finance. You'll then have a unique opportunity to thrash out and solve a scenario around your table in a discussion hosted by representatives from The Institute, CIMA, IOD, ICAEW, PWC and DMA.

Speakers:

Sara Shipton (ex-Finance Director Punch Taverns) will focus on what finance want from marketing and how to beat the 'repetitive cycle'.

Allan Evans (Marketing Partner at BDO Stoy Hayward and ex PwC UK Head of Marketing) will show how marketers need to take the initiative and prove their worth on the board.

Prof Robert Shaw will conclude the evening sharing his insights from a high profile study and survey into "How to achieve better results from finance and marketing working together".
