Marketing to children

Marketing to children is one of the most problematic areas of marketing. Children are highly acquisitive, strongly-opinionated influencers who are uniquely receptive to effective marketing. However they can lack the appropriate degree of objective sophistication to form broader, well-considered judgements. Because of this they are often vulnerable to suspect influences and inappropriate messages. Marketing to children can raise serious ethical and moral issues.

Leave those kids alone? Responsible marketing to children explores marketing to children in order to help marketers understand the arguments, be aware of relevant national and international laws, and be in a position to objectively evaluate any marketing that comes within the sphere of marketing to children.
