Triple bottom line
Customers are interested in sustainability and marketers, as the employees closest to the customer, can make a difference.
Sustainability is usually taken to refer to social and environmental impacts alone. The Triple Bottom Line – economic, social and environmental – creates a framework for companies to become sustainable without ignoring the importance of the financial bottom line and other concerns that are vital to a company’s survival, growth and economic success.
Our agenda paper urges companies to go beyond purely altruistic CSR initiatives.
