What does it mean to be a professional marketer today - and how can clearer standards help us push back against unrealistic expectations, gain recognition, and support long-term career growth?

We’re delighted to welcome CIM's CEO, Chris Daly, who will introduce the new Global Professional Marketing Framework. Designed to support professional development and progression at every career stage, the framework also offers a practical reference point for setting clearer expectations, helping to challenge the unrealistic demands often placed on marketers. We'll also hear from local Chartered Marketers about what achieving Chartered status means for them in their careers, offering insight into how professionalism and credibility show up in practice.

A guest speaker will join us to share their perspectives on working in marketing today, from managing the pressure to be a ‘marketing unicorn’, to building a career through different routes. They’ll also reflect on how marketers can demonstrate their value, set boundaries, and grow their careers in a changing profession.
The format includes short speaker sessions, audience Q&A and plenty of time to connect with others working in marketing across the region.
