The Level 4 CIM Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing is designed to establish the knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to carry out an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace. You will:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to excel as a marketing executive.
  • Build confidence and unlock career opportunities.
  • Acquire hands-on experience that you can use in the workplace, making you an essential and effective professional.

All our qualifications upto and including Level 6 are regulated.

Do I qualify?

You’ll need one of the following:

  • One year’s plus experience in the industry
  • Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing
  • Level 3 Marketing related apprenticeship

If English is not your first language, you'll need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications in the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. We will consider other equivalent alternatives.

What are the costs?

The costs of studying for a qualification includes the tuition fees, which are payable to your chosen study centre, CIM membership, which starts from £65 per annum, and assessment fees*. The total assessment fees for the Level 4 are: £520 (Global Standard & Developing Markets Rate) / £460 (Emerging Markets Rate).

* Figures based on successful completion at first attempt. Additional fees will be required if resits are taken.

Marketing responsibly is a growing imperative as societal and environmental challenges grow with increasing scrutiny on diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. Marketing faces a growing need to understand and ensure socially responsible practices.

Creating integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, online and offline, measuring their effectiveness is a key focus for any marketing executive. An understanding of the rapidly changing marketing landscape and how content plays a crucial role in the customer lifecycle, is explored.

Content has a crucial role in delivering effective marketing campaigns. Develop an understanding of how to successfully create content to support marketing goals and how different content formats can be used within campaigns to support the customer journey. 

Search engine optimisation is critical to supporting effective paid search campaigns to achieve marketing goals. Understand the importance of search engine marketing for organisations as part of their digital marketing activities and key success factors.

Marketing technology, or ‘Martech’, including artificial intelligence, is essential to facilitating and executing marketing activities. Martech can be used across the customer journey to support paid campaigns and social media activities, to nurture long-term relationships, and successfully analyse web analytics outputs to create recommendations for the future.  

Social media marketing activities underpin successful customer communications.  Understand how to apply a range of social media channels and produce effective content to enhance an organisation’s digital activities and produce an effective social media plan.
