In this latest CIM/UEL Marketing Club event we highlight the importance of diversity in marketing.
The aim of the evening is to provide an insight to the importance of diversity within marketing with a focus on race and gender dimensions. Each presenter will provide an insight to diversity in marketing, the current challenges and the endless possibilities. The speakers will also provide some insight to their career journey and experiences.

Speakers
Frances Trought: Founder Everything D&I the new platform for diversity opportunities. Author of Brilliant Employability Skills and 16 years’ experience of working in Higher Education and bridging the gap between education and industry. Champion of diversity with a focus on the importance of creating awareness of opportunities for students from African, Caribbean and Mixed heritage backgrounds including students from lower socio economic groups. Currently a freelance consultant working with Pearson College London, Deloitte.
Bonita Samuels: Senior Social Media Planner At Mediacom. Bonita Samuels has over two years’ experience working at Mediacom Beyond Advertising. Core disciplines include Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Influencer Marketing. Outside of this she hosts a Podcast and is passionate about diversity and inclusion and often pioneers initiatives to overcome these issues specifically within the media industry.
Lisiane Ndong: Account Manager at The Insiders. Lisiane Ndong is a digital marketing specialist with more than 6 years’ experience in Content Marketing, Social Media, CRM and Paid Search. She is currently Account manager at The Insiders, a Global Influencer Marketing Agency. She is responsible for managing local and global Influencer Marketing campaigns for FMCG and Consumer Electronics companies (Samsung, Nestle, Panasonic). Before joining The Insiders, Lisiane founded Sapelle, an e-commerce brand offering global fashion, and home décor. Prior to starting her business, Lisiane worked for Kelkoo, responsible for Pay Per Click advertising, and web analytics. In parallel, Lisiane is Guest Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Pearson College London, and also supports women empowerment through mentoring at Cherie Blair Foundation and Women of the Future.
This is the third in a new series of CIM/UEL Marketing Club events being held in Stratford. The aim of the club is to give practising marketers an opportunity to take some time-out, challenge thinking, learn new skills and share experiences with the next generation of marketing talent.
