It's time to celebrate your achievement!

Your CIM Graduation is more than a ceremony - it’s a milestone. It’s a chance to reflect on your journey, celebrate your success and look ahead to an exciting future as a marketing professional. Whether you're a new Chartered Marketer, recent Graduate or a qualified Apprentice, Graduation 2026 is your opportunity to come together with those who supported you and mark the beginning of your next chapter.

This invitation-only event is for:

  • Graduates who passed their final exams between August 2025 and July 2026* (Level 6 & Level 7 CIM qualifications)
  • Level 6 Marketing Manager and Level 7 Senior Leader Apprentices who completed their End Point Assessment (EPA) with CIM between January 2025 and July 2026
  • CIM members who achieved Chartered Marketer status between 01 July 2025 and 30 June 2026**
  • Graduates who deferred their ceremony space from 2025 or previous years.

*July 2026 includes the session for Level 7 assignment qualifications only. Those who took the July 2026 session examinations will be invited to the 2027 graduation ceremony. If you are unsure which applies to you, please contact the Events team at [email protected]

**Current CIM membership and Chartered status will be required at the time of graduation attendance.

Confirm your attendance 

This is an invitation-only event. All eligible Graduates, Apprentices and Chartered Marketers will be sent their official invitation by email. All graduation bookings should be made with our official 2026 ticketing, gown, and photography partner, Ede & Ravenscroft, via the booking link in your official email invitation. 

Follow these simple steps to secure your place: 

1. Register - Click the ‘Book your place’ button in your email invitation to log into the Ede & Ravenscroft graduation hub and register your free place by 01 November 2026. You will need to select The Chartered Institute of Marketing for the institution and the correct ceremony date before entering your student ID (CIM membership number / CIM contact record number), surname and email address. Your membership/record number can be found on your official invitation.

2. Book guest tickets - Once you have registered your place, you can book your guest tickets priced at £50 per person, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The last day to request guest tickets is Saturday, 07 November 2026. Please note that we cannot issue any guest ticket refunds after 08 November 2026. For queries, please email [email protected]. See full terms & conditions for details.

3. Order your gown - All Graduates, Apprentices and Chartered Marketers are required to wear academic gowns to attend the ceremony. The correct gown and hood colour will be automatically selected for you based on your marketing achievement. 

If you have achieved multiple qualifications, your gown and hood colour will reflect your highest-level achievement. 

If you are both a qualification holder and a new Chartered Marketer, you will be allocated a Chartered Marketer gown as that is considered a higher distinction. 

All gowns are black but are distinguished by hood colour. Please refer to the following guide to see what colour hood you will be wearing.

4. Photography - The Ede & Ravenscroft specialist graduation photographers will be available on the day. You can book your photography in advance or on the day itself. 

5. Programme and confirmation - once you have booked your place, guest tickets (optional), gown (mandatory) and photography (optional), you will receive a booking confirmation by email. You can also log back into your Ede & Ravenscroft account at any point to see an overview of your booking or to make any edits.

FAQs

The CIM Graduation Ceremony will take place on Saturday 14 November 2026. The venue is Central Hall Westminster, Storey's Gate, London, SW1H 9NH. 

Registration starts at 9:30am, and the Great Hall doors will open at 11:45am, with the ceremony beginning at 12:15pm. We ask that you be seated at 12:15pm, and the ceremony is expected to end by 3pm. Please arrive early to allow time for registration, robe collection, and photography.

Lunch and refreshments are not provided. Food and drinks can be purchased on the day at the venue's cafeteria. 

Yes, but cancellations must be made via the Ede & Ravenscroft graduation hub before the registration deadline: 01 November 2026. Full terms will be outlined in your booking confirmation. 

Yes, you can cancel guest tickets via the Ede & Ravenscroft graduation hub. Please note, however, that guest tickets are non-refundable after 08 November 2026. 

Guests are required to bring a copy of the booking confirmation for entrance into the venue.

No other e-tickets will be issued.

Your guests can arrive with you at your allocated registration time up until 11:45am when the doors to the ceremony hall will open. All guests must be seated in The Great Hall by 12:15pm when the ceremony will start. Please note that the venue does get very busy, and guests are asked not to enter the robing area. 

Guests are seated separately in the Gallery on the second floor and do not have assigned seat numbers.

Yes, you can choose to defer your place and attend the next graduation ceremony instead. Please email the Events Team at [email protected] confirming your CIM qualification details and membership number.

Please note that you can only defer once. Requests for further deferrals will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. If you believe your situation qualifies, please email the Events Team at [email protected]. 

CIM cannot provide official travel or visa advice. However, your email invitation can be used as part of your visa application as evidence of your attendance at a formal event. If you would like us to send an official email outlining the documents you can prepare to support a successful visa application, please contact us at [email protected]. 

You must wear academic dress (gown, hood, mortarboard) to take part in the ceremony. Gown hire and professional photography are provided by Ede & Ravenscroft. Please note that gown ordering through Ede & Ravenscroft is now available. Details of how to book your gown and order photography can be found in your official email invitation. Photography can also be booked on the day, subject to availability. 

The colour of your academic gown depends on the level of your qualification or whether you are a Chartered Marketer

If you are both a qualification holder and a new Chartered Marketer, your gown will reflect your Chartered Marketer status, which is considered a higher distinction.

No, you will not receive a hard copy of your certificate at the ceremony. Certificates are issued digitally, approximately eight weeks after your final exam results are released. Digital certificates can be downloaded via your Credly login; however, if you would like a hard copy, these can be purchased via your MyCIM account. 

Yes, children are welcome to attend, but please note:

  • Guest tickets must be purchased for children requiring their own seat at the ceremony due to limited capacity
  • Young children are permitted to sit on laps without purchasing a ticket
  • Please consider whether young children will be comfortable during a formal, seated event.

You may wish to book accommodation nearby, especially if you're travelling to London from outside the city.

Central Hall Westminster is located centrally and is accessible via major transport links. Try to book any accommodation early to avoid disappointment. 

If you or your guests have any special requirements or need accessibility assistance, please inform the Events Team during the booking process.

All important updates will be sent by email to registered Graduates, Apprentices and Chartered Marketers.

On the day

Registration opens at 9:30am in the Library and closes at 11:00am. Your exact time slot will be confirmed closer to the ceremony date.

On arrival, please follow the one-way system upstairs to the registration desk, arranged alphabetically by surname. Please have your confirmation email ready.

At registration, you will receive your registration card with your allocated seating block and your Graduation Ceremony brochure. 

Please keep hold of your registration card as you will need this for the ceremony. Our announcer will use your card to call out your name and qualification / Chartered Marketer status when you go up onto the stage.

Please note that guests are seated separately in the gallery and do not have assigned seats.

Gowns must be collected by 11:30am from Ede & Ravenscroft in The Aldersgate Room, lower ground floor. 

Follow the one-way system. Only Graduates, Apprentices and Chartered Marketers should enter the robing area to reduce congestion.

If you wish to purchase an official photograph, please go with your guests to the Ede & Ravenscroft photographer before 11:45am, located next to the robing area, after collecting your robe.

The Great Hall doors open at 11:45am. Please show your registration card to the stewards, who will guide you to your seating block.

Please keep your registration card on you at all times to assist the CIM staff.

Please be seated by 12:15pm, wearing your robe and mortarboard throughout the ceremony.

Please note that guests will be seated separately in the Gallery on the second floor.

The ceremony will begin at 12:15pm and conclude by 3:00pm.

You will queue in order by level and qualification to walk the stage and then return to your seat.

All gowns must be returned to Ede & Ravenscroft by 4:00pm.
