Designed for aspiring marketers and people beginning their first marketing role, this Level 3 qualification develops the knowledge and practical understanding needed to work effectively at Marketing Assistant level. You will explore how marketing supports organisations, how customers behave and how businesses use content, channels, research and insight to make better marketing decisions.

No previous marketing experience or knowledge is required.
You do not need any previous marketing experience or qualifications to study the Foundation Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing.
If English is not your first language, you will normally need an IELTS Academic score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each component, a Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English at grade B or above, or an accepted equivalent. The qualification must usually have been achieved within the previous two years.

The old page currently states total assessment fees of £250 at the Global Standard and Developing Markets rate, or £220 at the Emerging Markets rate, based on passing both modules at the first attempt. Resits incur additional fees. CIM membership starts from £65 per year.

You’ll develop practical knowledge across the core areas of marketing, from understanding customers and the marketing environment to using content, channels and insight effectively.
To achieve the Foundation Certificate, you must complete Marketing Essentials and choose either Content and Channels or Marketing Insights.
Each module is worth 12 credits. You can also complete all three modules to achieve the Extended Foundation Certificate.
