Sandrine Desbarbieux-Lloyd

Sandrine Desbarbieux-Lloyd is a senior digital expert, with over 25 years international experience leading organisations in the implementation of strategic change as well as marketing and digital transformation. She is just finishing her role as UK Group Director at Meta (Facebook) where she oversaw large UK or EMEA/global clients, driving growth in all social media apps, messaging, AI products, video products and new technologies such as AR, VR and the Metaverse.

Before her role at Meta, she was previously European vice president of digital at Samsung, where she was leading a multi-billion pound sales and marketing business across 34 countries, and where she created the centre of excellence for machine learning applications in Marketing.

Before that, she was at the Avis Budget Group where she was director of marketing and digital, with responsibilities for all digital platforms and marketing programmes across Europe, Middle East and Africa. In her role there, she has focused on growing the digital part of the business, in particular the direct channel, successfully growing the revenue year on year.

Previously, Sandrine also held a number of senior e-Commerce, Digital Marketing and general Marketing roles for large brands including BT, LACOSTE, AXA, BAA, E.ON, KURT GEIGER and BUPA.

Notable in her career are the launches of broadband and Wi-Fi for the very first time in the UK. This extremely challenging role involved defining the Wireless strategy for BT Group in the UK following the de-merger of 02, building a mobility business, launching BT Openzone the UK’s first Public WLAN service, and the re-launch of BT Mobile a new SP/MVNO business.

Sandrine’s greatest strengths are her leadership, drive and creativity. She thrives on new challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach.

Sandrine holds double diplomas from the UK and France, including a Masters from Reims Management Business School in France. She lives in south west London with her husband Dan, his teenage girls Eloise and Emmie, their cat Lollipop and their dog Lilly.

In her free time, Sandrine is a very keen sports woman. She particularly enjoys running, swimming, cycling, golf, skiing, pilates, yoga as well as playing tennis and volleyball. Sandrine also does volunteer work with the elderly in her spare time.
