How well do you know your financial surroundings? Are you aware of London’s financial history and the impact it has had on today’s market? Join us on our eighth guided tour around the famous and infamous financial landmarks of the City of London. Meet other marketers and learn more about your marketing environment, adding a unique insight and depth to your professional knowledge and working life?
Set in the heart of the world’s financial arena, marketers and their guests will discover the history, character and influential financial aspects of the City of London during a guided tour led by an expert guide. The walk will finish one of the City of London’s unique historic and finance related venues with ample opportunity to network with fellow marketers.
London Walks have designed this year’s guided tour to provide us with fascinating facts and the history of our financial landscape. We will explore a new side of the City – set in the very heart of the world’s foremost financial capital. Meandering our way through an intricate network of narrow alleys and cobble-stone lanes, our professional guide will navigate you through London’s financial history, illustrating it with stories from the founders of our financial markets to the ups and downs of fortune and fame.
Enjoy one of the first lighter evenings of spring with a wonderful opportunity to network with others from the Finance Industry. The walk meets at Tower Hill tube station, starting at 18:00 sharp and ends at one of London’s unique venues for drinks and networking. It lasts for about two hours. The guide, Tom Hooper (MBE), is a blue badge guide examiner, a former barrister and Chair of the Guild of Guides. Members will be encouraged to ask questions during the tour.
This event is perfect to entertain colleagues, clients and guests. Your ticket includes the guided walk (about two hours) and your first drink at our networking venue.
Registration is from 17:45; the event starts at 18:00 and finishes at 20:00. If you are a non-EU resident, please contact the Network Support team to make your booking.
