As a member of The Debating Group, CIM is hosting a media and marketing industry debate in the House of Commons on the evening of Monday 27 March 2017.

The motion for the debate is ‘’in an increasingly customer-led world, CMOs, not CFOs, are the natural choice for Chief Executive.’’

Four panellists will be debating the motion:

Opposing the motion:
- Ian Ailles, Director General, House of Commons
- Rick Payne, Leader of the Finance Direction Programme, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales

Proposing the motion:

- Sarah Speake, experienced CMO previously at Clear Channel Outdoor, ITV, Google
- Maria Heckel, Marketing Director, CIM

The debate will be chaired by Greg Mulholland MP.
