Remaining relevant in a landscape of demanding consumers, new competition and disruptive technologies, is the challenge for food and beverage companies.
Speakers:
Emma Gubisch is the Marketing Insight Manager at Leatherhead Food Research (Leatherhead's). She has experience in delivering insight projects for a range of social and commercial clients.
Melissa Shone is the Marketing Director for Science Group (the company which owns Leatherhead). She specialises in developing and articulating the business value from scientific and technological developments and has experience in all aspects of B2B marketing.
In this session, Emma and Melissa will argue for a closer connection with consumers and greater corporate honesty. Using findings from Leatherhead's new international consumer research, they will consider how factors such as price, nutritional information, marketing and ethical positioning impact your brand profile. From sensory marketing, to co-creation possibilities, Emma and Melissa also discuss guiding principles emerging from Leatherhead’s research to ensure products are a real match with consumer desires.
This session is suitable for marketing professionals of all levels who have a role in setting company strategy and who have an interest in consumer insight. While the consumer statistics in this session relate to the food and beverage industry, many of the overarching insights have relevance for other sectors.
