This year’s joint event with Hays, which is free to attend, will look at what motivates marketers at work every day and how employers should respond to their ‘demands’. We’ll also look at what marketers need to do to get to the top and stay there.
What marketers want - Hays’ latest report explores the priorities of over 13,650 professionals across a broad range of professions and sectors including almost 500 marketing professionals.
For example, 87% of marketing professionals consider themselves to be ambitious, and are driven to reach leadership positions. Whilst striving to reach top jobs, they value receiving recognition and respect for their accomplishments.
Clare Kemsley, Hays UK &I Managing Director of Marketing, joins us to talk about the research findings and make essential recommendations on what employers need to do to retain and attract the best talent.
What marketers need - To successfully shape the organization’s agenda and be promoted, marketers must develop their soft skills such as negotiation, influencing and confidence, which will enable them to clearly communicate their ideas, influence internal and external stakeholders and become a greater leader.
Pamella Barotti, Marketing Professional, Mentor and Coach, joins us to discuss what soft skills marketers need to get to the top and share tips on how they can develop these skills in a practical manner.
In partnership with CIM London, Pamella is the creator and host of the 'Soft Skills for Hard Results' series of events, which includes six interactive workshops running from September through to April 2018.
