Although the pharma and medtech sectors have experienced transformational change in recent years, the way we make brand strategy has changed relatively little. As a result, our brand strategies often fail to deliver on their promises. Slow and limited uptake of innovative products, failure to gain market access, loss of share to me-toos and generics and failure to fully exploit new technologies are all evidence of a brand strategy process that is not working well.

In this challenging presentation, Professor Brian D Smith will describe how and why conventional brand planning is becoming extinct and is being replaced by more sophisticated techniques better adapted for today's competitive, value driven markets. The presentation will be valuable to anyone who works in, with or leads brand teams in pharma and medtech.

All attendees will receive a copy of Professor Smith's new book, Brand Therapy: 15 Techniques for Creating Strong Brand Strategy in Pharma and medtech.
