8:30 AM - Swansea

This event is a repeat of the sell-out session run in Cardiff  in November last year.

Recent findings suggest that only 25% of data on marketing databases meets General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.

With the clock ticking until the biggest change in data protection legislation for a generation, this seminar will cover the key changes coming into force under GDPR and how to turn privacy compliance into opportunities. Dr Kerry Beynon, Partner of Acuity Legal, will share practical steps that marketers can take now to prepare for the May 2018 deadline and get GDPR ready.

Delegates will learn the following: -
• Understanding what GDPR is and what is changing
• Understanding the risks of complacency and non-compliance
• Guidance on practical steps to get GDPR ready
• Opportunities presented by GDPR

Kerry specialises in commercial law, information technology and intellectual property law. Before entering legal practice, she taught IP and contract law at Swansea University and worked for an award-winning project aimed at protecting the IP rights of small to medium sized enterprises.
