As digital technologies continue to get more sophisticated with more platforms and greater functionality, many organisations have struggled with understanding the role of social media as part of their integrated online/offline communications.
The value of social media and the investment that is required is often questioned. In this workshop, we’ll be discussing the value and use of the different types of social media and when (and how) they should be used. We’ll refer to established social media marketing theory and frameworks to help you get the most from your social media activity.
We’ll investigate how social media can be an effective part of a integrated marketing plan that enhanced the customer experience and improve your overall effectiveness. We’ll discuss possible implications for the marketing team and what skills might be required.
We’ll also examine ways of measuring your success through free and easy to use tools and systems.
This course will provide you with insight into social media types and how you can improve your current activity. It provides a solid base for those relatively new to marketing communications and social media whilst providing others with a reminder of how this exciting sector is developing.
During the workshop, we’ll be covering key aspects of social media integration.
We’ll discuss and understand how an understanding of customer behaviour impacts on our use of media platforms and content.
