    6:00 PM - London

This is the second in a new series of CIM/UEL Marketing Club events being held in Stratford. The aim of the club is to give practicing marketers an opportunity to take some time-out, challenge thinking, learn new skills and share experiences with the next generation of marketing talent.

Advergames, brand games, and promo games - whatever you call them, there is no denying that games and gamification as instruments for marketing are everywhere.

The flexibility of these mediums means many business types can benefit from game-based techniques; from the small independent coffee store that uses stamp cards to reward loyalty, through to the Fortune 500 brands using sophisticated games and gamification applications to do the “5 in 1”: engage, inform, create loyalty, increase sales, and collect consumer information.

In this interactive seminar, Betty Adamou, Founder of Research Through Gaming and author of 'Games and Gamification in Market Research' will share examples of marketing games from around the world with their results. She gives insight to the benefits and drawbacks, explains the science behind why games are so engaging, and provides a structure on best practice for design.

She’ll also lead the way in helping all delegates team up to have a go at designing their very own marketing game!

In the closing remarks, Betty shares how marketing games are likely to evolve in the near future with Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and paints a picture of a future marketeers job.

    Speaker:

In addition to developing ResearchGames on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions alike, Adamou also writes about and gives university guest lectures and keynote presentations on game-based research methods to a global audience.
