7:30 AM - Southampton
The Ordnance Survey is Britain’s mapping agency and world-leader in geospatial data. They can trace their roots back to the mid-1700s and yet lead their field in the application of 21st century technology. The information they provide touches the lives of everyone in the country, from individuals to private industry and government.
We are delighted to have three of OS’s Marketing Managers speaking to us about the challenges that marketing such an organisation presents.
Speakers:
Jenny Sprackling, Senior Digital Marketing Manager/Head of Function and Amy Sheppard, Marketing Manager, will focus on business services in a presentation called ‘Busting the myth of B2B marketing’.
Nic Hamilton, Senior Content Lead, will discuss working with a heritage brand and building a reputation for being a forward-looking organisation.
For those interested in the built environment, this is also an opportunity to see inside the Ordnance Survey’s £40m HQ. Opened by Prince Philip in 2011, it incorporates some of the most energy efficient technologies around, including rainwater harvesting, natural ventilation and computer-controlled lighting.
Can you spot the references to true and magnetic north appearing throughout the building design?
