Stefan Pryor - Marketing Manager at James Cropper Plc
James Cropper Plc, the advanced materials and paper products business, are based in Burneside in the Lake District National Park and use materials from cotton and wood to carbon fibre to support industries from packaging to digital imaging and aerospace with products that are at the cutting edge of performance. Founded in 1845 they are a NW brand that has thrived through continual innovation. The paper business constantly develops and launches bespoke products – so it’s no surprise they know a thing or two about new product development (NPD) and disruption. Marketing Manager Stefan Pryor will share examples of how the James Cropper paper business has innovated and created new markets including:
• Colourform - where pulp is used to create innovative 3D moulded packaging solutions for clients like the Champagne brand, Ruinart
• CupCycling - upcycling used takeaway coffee cups into beautiful papers, including for Hallmark greeting cards and Burberry luxury packaging.
Stefan is Marketing Manager for James Cropper’s paper business and has over 10 years industry experience identifying new markets and opportunities to develop innovative solutions for customers. He is a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire and completed his CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing in 2021.

Nebula is an experienced marketing leader with a track record of leading organisations through change and successfully translating strategic priorities and business objectives, into compelling award-winning campaigns across industries including logistics, retail, FMCG, finance, tech and the public sector. She is a graduate of Leeds University and has worked for Asda and Warburtons in the retail space and more recently as Marketing Director and Head of UK Marketing for DeliveryApp and Berlin-based fintech, Raisin GmbH.
John Triner - Managing Partner TBWA
John will share insights and experiences of how the agency’s capability in insight, data strategy and innovation have helped their clients navigate new spaces. He will draw on their global innovation practice, NEXT, and how Disruption drives growth.
Lorna Hawtin - Disruption Director TBWA
Lorna Hawtin is an award-winning strategist and creative leader with over 25 years in the communications industry.
As Disruption Director with TBWA, she now leads a multi-disciplinary team and consults globally within the TBWA collective to build an unfair advantages for clients. As well as being part of the agency leadership team, she is also a frequently published commentator within the industry, with a special interest in effectiveness and Disruption strategy. She was awarded the Michael Conrad Outstanding Thesis Award for her thought-provoking research on ‘Unpicking the Extrovert Ideal in ‘Adland’ as part of her Sir John Hegarty Scholarship to study an Exec MBA at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
In 2014 she was appointed Convener of Judges for the IPA Effectiveness Awards having won a number of Effectiveness awards as author in her formative years. She is also a Fellow of the IPA in recognition of her exceptional prolonged contribution to the industry body and her work in developing the Eff Test and the IPA's effectiveness strategy. She is also now a member of the IPA's Effectiveness Leadership Group and the Awards Board.
