As digital technologies continue to grow in sophistication, with more platforms and greater functionality, many marketers struggle to fully understand the role of social media within their integrated online/offline communications. In this workshop, we ’ll explore the value and how and when different types of social media should be used. We’ll refer to established social media marketing theory and frameworks to help you get the most from your social media activity. We will also investigate how social media can play an effective part of an integrated marketing plan that enhances customer experience and improves your overall effectiveness. We’ll discuss possible implications for your marketing team and what skills might be required.
We’ll also examine ways of measuring your success through free and easy to use tools and systems.
This course will provide you with insight into social media types and how you can improve your current activity. It provides a solid base for those relatively new to marketing communications and social media whilst providing others with a reminder of how this exciting sector is developing.
During the workshop, we’ll be covering key aspects of social media integration.
We’ll discuss and understand how an understanding of customer behaviour impacts on our use of media platforms and content.
We’ll suggest possible campaign integrated social media activity and explore ways of developing strong and compelling communications messages that can be extended across different channels. We’ll also provide you with some simple solutions and practical suggestions that could be introduced almost immediately.
