This session looks at 'PR' - what it is and why it is such a powerful marketing communications tool. Who are our stakeholders, and how should we manage our communications with them?
How is media relations changing in the digital world?
This session includes exercises as well as presentation, which will be useful for anyone considering a career in marketing.
Speaker
Terry Nicklin has over thirty years’ experience of marketing in product and service organisations. He has been Marketing Director in listed and privately held companies in sectors including manufacturing, procurement and technology, and also in the public sector. He now runs PR consultancy KeynotePR, working with clients in the technology and professional services sectors.
Terry is a member of the CIM's East of England Regional Board, a Fellow of the CIM and of Cambridge Marketing College, where he is Course Director for Digital Marketing. He has taught marketing subjects in locations across the US, Europe and Asia. Terry is author of three books on stakeholder marketing and marketing communications, and has an MBA from Warwick University.
This is the first of a new series of events being held at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge by the CIM/ARU Marketing Club.
The aim of the club is to give practising marketers an opportunity to take some time-out, challenge thinking, learn new skills and share experiences with the next generation of marketing talent.
