Marketing Principles (Mandatory)
An understanding of the role and function of marketing within organisations and what factors can influence consumer behaviour. As well as the concepts and elements which make up the marketing mix and how this is used to satisfy customer’s needs.
Customer Communications (Elective)
How to identify the different customers organisations have and establish the marketing communications tools to best reach them. As well as how to develop a successful marketing communications campaign and how the campaign can be put into practice.
Digital Essentials (Elective)
Further insight into what is meant by digital marketing and the key factors to consider when developing digital marketing campaigns. As well as the importance of developing campaign content aimed at specific market segments and how campaigns can be measured.
Achieving the qualification
To achieve the Foundation Certificate in Marketing, a pass in the mandatory module and ONE elective is required. Each module can be taken as an award.
Do you qualify?
It is not necessary to have any previous experience or knowledge of marketing to study the Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing. So, if you’re an aspiring marketer or new to a marketing support role, this qualification is the right choice for you.
If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate you’ve achieved an equivalent qualification. You can contact your preferred Accredited Study Centre to discuss your options, or for further information, download the qualification specification here.
Reasonable adjustments policy
Reasonable adjustments enable a candidate with additional requirements to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding to the levels of attainment required by the relevant CIM qualification specification. CIM ensures its Reasonable Adjustments Policy aligns to regulatory and legal requirements. The Reasonable Adjustments policy is available to learners on the MyCIM Portal once they are registered.
What are the costs?
There are three cost elements* to studying this marketing qualification:
- To get started you will need to select your preferred Accredited Study Centre. Once chosen, contact the centre to discuss your tuition costs. Please note costs may vary for each centre
- Then you’ll need to become a CIM Studying Member, for which the annual cost is £65.00
- When studying, you’ll then need to book your assessments through CIM. The total assessment fee for this qualification is £210.
